Triumphal arch

The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is a triumphal arch found in between the Tuilleries Gardens and the Louvre Museum, and although it is smaller than the more well known Arc de Triomphe, it is still a fair size as can be seen in this photo.

The Conciergerie palace turned prison where Marie Antoinette was held captive

La Conciergerie was the first royal palace that was built in Paris, and is found on the Ile de la Cite island, which was originally called Palais de la Cite, which eventually became a prison. The name Conciergerie was from the official who was appointed from the king to oversee various prison records and policing.
