During UEFA Euro 2016 the Eiffel Tower suspended a large football within its structure, giving a feel for just how large it really was.

The Conciergerie palace turned prison where Marie Antoinette was held captive

La Conciergerie was the first royal palace that was built in Paris, and is found on the Ile de la Cite island, which was originally called Palais de la Cite, which eventually became a prison. The name Conciergerie was from the official who was appointed from the king to oversee various prison records and policing.
